Schools of Sanctuary – a school with this title is one that is committed to being a safe and welcoming place for all, especially those seeking sanctuary. It is a school that helps its students, staff and wider community understand what it means to be seeking sanctuary, and to extend a welcome to everyone as equal, valued members of the school community. It is a school that is proud to be a place of safety and inclusion for all.

Streams and Sanctuary Awards – encouraging the town’s communities to come together to embed the concepts of welcome, safety and inclusion within their professions, sectors, and organisations through gaining a Sanctuary Award.

FAB! Extensions Project – this project has family literacy and social inclusion at its core, and is designed to support local schools’ work with multilingual learners. It engages their families through loaning and interacting with a range of fun and stimulating kinaesthetic, literacy and oracy-focused activities. The resources include dual language books, educational games, puzzles and activities, primarily focused on literacy.

We’re Open – our weekly evening social, every Thursday at The Baker’s Cafe in central Swindon. Meet others in your community, with volunteers on hand to help make you feel welcome. Free hot drinks, board games and often live acoustic music. All are welcome!
