Annabel Giraud-Telme – this ethical fashion designer has helped us to design t-shirts to sell at Womad festival.
Darkroom Espresso – this independent coffee shop was our first location for our weekly ‘We’re Open’ event!
Debutots Swindon – offers free drama and play sessions for refugee toddlers and parents.
Desk Cowork – this co-working environment in Old Town provided a free desk space for our Development Worker for our first year!
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service – offering fire safety workshops for Harbour visitors and for hosts on our Room for All project.
Eastcott Community Organisation – Supportive of making Swindon a Welcoming place for all.
Helen Browning’s Organic – funded coach travel for Swindon United to play a Leicester football team.
Los Gatos – this Spanish tapas restaurant helped a group of refugees run a pop-up kitchen as part of the Swindon City of Sanctuary launch event and again in February 2017. This developed into their ‘Sanctuary Tapas’ specials which feature refugees’ special dishes, with the recipies taught to their chefs and served to hungry customers. All the profits from these dishes go to Swindon City of Sanctuary, and so far has raised £1000s for us through this scheme.
Mechanics’ Institution Trust – provide free event space and town-centre car parking for SCoS staff.
Robert Buckland MP South Swindon Constituency Office – attended Parliament of Sanctuary in 2016, our launch and refugee week. He is currently campaigning for legal aid in Wiltshire and to allow biometric residence permits (BRP) cards to be processed in Swindon – both preventing unecessary and expensive travel.
Social Media Support Ltd – provides advice for effective use of our social media pages.
Swindon Community Choir – performed at events and during refugee week.
Swindon Quakers – run ‘Refuteas’ once a month, a social afternoon for families with coffee, chat and a children’s play area.
Swindon People’s Assembly – organised a ‘Refugees Welcome’ march, and actively raise awareness of refugee issues and common misunderstandings.

The Olive Tree Café – offer a free 8 week training course in catering health and hygiene.
Viewpoint Community Media – provided free filming of our events.
Voluntary Action Swindon – supported the planning of our launch, providing printing services, governance advice and meeting spaces. We are now also based at their offices!
Volunteer Centre Swindon – advertise volunteering opportunities and provide training events.
Wiltshire Community Foundation – has awarded us a much-needed grant for our Hosting Scheme!
The Harbour Project – we work together on many of our projects and events.
Thamesdown – Swindon’s Bus Company – New scheme to match fund money raised by SCOS to provide discounted bus tickets to refugees and asylum seekers in Swindon.
South Swindon Labour Party – Local councillor Paul Dixon has helped us to bring cross party agreement in ensuring that our Hosts do not loose their single council tax benefit when hosting someone who would otherwise be destitute through our Room for All project. They have also supported our other work and attended our events.
Coffee#1 Swindon – They have kindly agreed to host our project We’re Open every Thursday evening!
Good Gym Swindon – Have signed up as volunteers for We’re Open on a regular basis and offered to help support us with any future events too.
