Room For All Hosting Scheme Coordinator (part time)
An exciting opportunity to join our small team of staff at Swindon City of Sanctuary!
We are looking for the right candidate to manage and support the running of our much needed hosting project here in Swindon. This post is part time and for 16 hours a week.
Our ‘Rooms for All’ Hosting Project supports sanctuary seekers and vulnerable migrants who are destitute, about to become destitute or are vulnerably accommodated. We provide all-round support to our guests through a private bedroom in a volunteer host’s home, a bus pass if needed, a designated volunteer support worker and personalised move-on plans.
The post holder will be skilled at building relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders including vulnerable adults, referral agencies and volunteers from hosts who provide a free room to our support workers. You will be able to represent Swindon City of Sanctuary positively and will enjoy working as part of a very small and dynamic team but will need to be a confident decision maker and able to run Room for All on a day to day basis. The post holder will need to be a good administrator: to maintain accurate records and dealing with any concerns in a timely and constructive manner.
To find out more please read the below Job description and Person Specification and send us your CV along with your covering letter by the closing date which is 1pm on the 26th April 2019.
