We have launched an extension of our current befriender/support worker role we use for our hosting scheme.

With many current volunteers keen to help from home and with those seeking sanctuary becoming very isolated during these times of lockdown, we wanted to offer a hand of friendship during these difficult times.

We have created a short form, which anyone living in Swindon who is in the asylum system, those with leave to remain, and those with no recourse to public funds can use to self-refer.

They will then be matched with one of our volunteers who will contact them at least once a week for a chat and to see how they are.
